“Listen, whatever you see and love—that’s where you are.”
~ Mary Oliver

My decision to become a therapist was informed by many things, including my life journey of navigating my own healing, and an early and ongoing love of exploring the ways in which we understand our human experience through the stories we tell. I have lived experience with many of the issues I work with, including family of origin abuse and estrangement, attachment trauma, complex ptsd, religious abuse, chronic illness, queer identity, and living with a neurodiverse brain and highly sensitive internal system.

I have worked in the mental health field since 2009, when I began working with adolescents at a therapeutic boarding school in the Sapphire Mountains of Montana. Prior to that I spent two years as an Americorps volunteer working with immigrants and refugees in the Twin Cities. Since moving to Oregon in 2010 I have worked with adults, adolescents, and children in community mental health, residential, outdoor, and correctional settings. I have provided crisis intervention, individual counseling, family therapy, and group therapy to clients from a wide variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

In the rest of my life I enjoy spending time in nature, being with my dogs and cat, creating art, growing plants, reading and listening to endless books, loving animals and other humans, exploring the world around me, and challenging myself to live in growth and curiosity. I strive to embody creativity, dedication, and passion in both my daily life and my work as a therapist.
